Natasha has a passion for providing quality eyecare and building trusting relationships with patients. Her interests lie in all areas of optometry, especially Myopia control, contact lenses including orthokeratology, ocular disease and therapeutic management. Outside of work, Natasha loves spending time by the water, long walks, exploring cafes, and photography.
Nicky first came to work for us in 2004 after completing her Optometry degree at the University of Auckland. Prior to that she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at UNSW. She returned to our practice in 2015 as she enjoys utilising the advanced imaging technologies that we have available for early detection of eye disease. Having two young children herself, Nicky really enjoys testing children’s eyes, including preschoolers. She also has a keen interest in contact lens fitting for people of all ages and visual needs.
We take great care to provide thorough eye examinations, and are proud to be able to offer our patients the latest in testing technology. This technology includes Optical Coherence Tomography (Cirrus OCTA), Ultra-wide Retinal Imaging (Optos), Computerised Visual Field Testing (Zeiss Humphrey HFA3), Ultrasonic Pachymetry, Corneal Topography (Medmont), Autorefractor/Keratometer/Tonometer. We also offer a range of services including orthokeratology, colour vision, children’s vision and give advice regarding children’s learning difficulties.
Our staff, including David Hendry, live in the local area. We enjoy developing long term trusting relationships with our patients and as a result have cared for multiple generations of families over the last 35 years. Many patients return to see us for their comprehensive eyecare, even if they have moved to regional Australia or overseas. It is a privilege to be entrusted with looking after their eye sight and health.
We accept all health funds and offer Afterpay and Openpay to help spread the cost of your new eyewear.
Our contact lens provider Alcon is experiencing delays fulfilling orders due to a cyber-security incident involving their freight partner, Toll Group. These delays are across their entire network of optical retailers in Australia. We apologise for an inconvenience caused and encourage you to contact your local EyeQ practice for any urgent requirements.
