Who we are
Hansen’s EyeQ Optometrist Bathurst – welcome.
Our friendly team at Bathurst aim to provide clinical excellence, expert patient care and high quality optical products. The practice specialises in behavioural optometry with Sonia Bostjancic our principal optometrist completing advanced training in this area. Sonia also offers low vision services to the vision impaired as well as general optometric care to a broad spectrum of the community, with both practice and home based domiciliary visits if required. Mark Hansen, our second principal optometrist offers advanced contact lens fitting skills, and between them Sonia and Mark have over 50 years of clinical experience. Debbie Murray, our practice manager and qualified optical dispenser and Anne Cole, our optical assistant can guide you through the journey of choosing the correct, most up to date and clinically appropriate eye wear for your occupational, fashion and leisure needs.
What we offer
We use the latest technology equipment including fundus photography, frequency doubling visual fields and pachymetry (corneal thickness measurements) to provide diabetic and glaucoma screenings. We also liaise closely with Bathurst’s excellent team of ophthalmologists for ultimate patient care and pathology recognition and treatment.

We provide children's eye care and we have e huge range of children's eyewear. Our paediatric optometrist is specialising in children's eye tests.

We provide a comprehensive eye examination consisting of a number of tests which allows us to thoroughly assess your ocular health and visual needs. The vast majority of optometric consultations are covered by Medicare.
- Prescription Glasses and Eyewear
We will ensure your eye health is monitored to the highest standards and that an appropriate prescription is found for all your eyewear needs.
